Take a look at yourself in the mirror.
Who do you see looking back? Is it the person you want to be? Or is there someone else you were meant to be? The person you should have been but felt short of.
Is someone telling you can’t or you won’t?
Because you can.
Believe that love is out there.
Believe that dreams come true every day.
Because they do.
Sometimes happiness doesn’t come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from good friends and family or from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.
Believe that dreams come true every day.
Because they do.
So take a look in that mirror and remind yourself to be happy, because you deserve to be. Believe that. And believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.

The original title for this post was going to be “Crap! The blog needs an update”, but I’m an optimistic guy and did not want the whole focus of this post to be about the total and complete lack of care for this blog, but instead to share the changes I’ve been undergoing in my life.
Recently I moved to a new apartment that I’m sharing with my dear friend João. The new apartment is amazing - a recently renewed triplex apartment in a very charismatic central part of Lisbon. I’m closer to the river now, but also still close to all the areas I love!
This change came after a night of heavy drinking with my friend João, when we both were complaining about our lives. Drunken as I could be, I said “What if we share an apartment?”. It was the best thing I could have said, and it started a change in my life way deeper than the simple change of scenery.
My old apartment was the stage for 7 of the most intense years of my life. It witnessed it all - the falling in (so deeply) and out (so hard) of love, the breaking of dishware in dramatic fights, the tears on my friends shoulders, the tears on my pillow alone at night and even the furious tears on the bathroom floor over an intense series finale (oh, good times, lol) and also the fantastic laughter of my dear friends over countless fabulous dinner parties. Damn, I grew into myself in that apartment, but now I’m outgrowing it and it was time to move on!
So this is a new leaf in the book of my life (oh and what a book it is) and I’m embracing it wholeheartedly!
The old apartment is going to go under some renovations and it will become available soon to tourists of the world to enjoy it! So, if you were ever in there and know how fantastic it is… pass along this information!! I’ll have a whole website set-up for it soon!
But back to the post title - “Change of Scenery” - these past two weeks spent here in the new apartment were two weeks of reflection on my life and my goals, also trying to make a review of my past and learning my lessons so I don’t screw up too much!
One topic that made me think a lot was our dependency on the material things. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to start giving you a lecture about the spiritual side of life - not at all - but if you come to think of it, you really don’t need even half of the stuff you own. So as a “new apartment resolution” plan I’m gonna get rid of a whole lot of stuff! Maybe I should just do a kind of garage sale!!!
Anyway… another thing in my life that needs a change is this blog! I’ve never kept the same design for so long!!! A new design is mndatory!!
What about your life? Have you had any king of changes in scenery lately? Are you in need of a change?
Peace and much love

Once again here we are… Single & Fabulous (or so we like to believe!).
As usual, this year I’m celebrating with friends the Single & Fabuous “holiday”, a dinner-party that is becoming a tradition! The concept is rather simple: Don’t have a sweet valentine? Get together with your friends and tell them how much you love them!
I’m usually a bit more cheerfull around this date, but this year I’m just tired! I even forgot to mention this blogs 4th birthday… it was yesterday!! (ups).
So, to celebrate this years “Single & Fabulous” with style, I’m offering a wallpaper for you desktops!
Single & Fabulous 2009 Wallpaper (1.13 MB)
A desktop wallpaper to celebrate Valentine day with a twist…
I hope you enjoy it.
If you decide to gather your friends for this holiday, let me know!
Peace nd much love

I’m excited to finally be able to post this here on the blog!
One of my closest and dearest friends, David Ferreira, has finally released his first album - This Can’t Be Love - containing a refreshing and heart warming selection of jazz standards.
Tonight was the debut concert at “Fábrica do Braço de Prata”, here in Lisbon, and it was a success! The setting was great, the musicians were amazing, my dear David brilliant on stage and to top all that the house was packed with a vibrant crowd!
I have a bunch of clips I shot and I’ll be posting them to my YouTube account in the next couple of days.
This one is a teaser - edited to my liking - of the single “Comes Love” (on high rotation in Rádio Marginal - a Portuguese Jazz Radio Station). This was, from the first time I heard it, the number 1 single for the album and, even though David and his editor has plans to choose another theme for the 1st single, the reaction to “Comes Love” was so intense it had to be it!!
Word can’t seem to be enough to express my feeling towards this accomplishment in David’s life. I’m proud of the person and friend that he is.
I love you my dear friend! Much success!

Lately my work life has been extremely fast-paced and exhausting. In times of worldwide financial crisis I can call myself lucky. But in a craft where you have to use your creativity, exhausted is not good at all.
The past week was a mess: 14h work days, almost never leaving the office (and my office is at home, so you do the math - heck, there where days I did not even leave the pajamas!).
This rhythm is not good for any kind of existence apart from work - the so called “social life” (hehehe). So I guess this is part of the reason why this Wondeful Blog has been oh so still lately. It has always been an outlet to talk about my social interactions and now, that work has taken over, I feel like I’ve lost my voice (socially speaking).
Anyway, today I was trying to work (after a late work night last night - went to bed at 6am), but my brain was way too tired to produce anything it was being forced to produce. So my mind wandered away and I got caught by the unstable weather today: one minute it was raining, the next the sun was shining bright!
Those two photos above are not from today, but they embrace the concept of what I was seeing and feeling. You can see both original photos, the rain and the sunshine, both shot from my living room window, on my Flickr photostream. You can also check out a photo I actually snapped today of a Beautiful Rainbow that showed up!
So, to spoil my dear readers a bit, I’ve prepared the composition you see above in a large format (2048×1536 - it fits both standard and widescreen resolutions), so you can embellish your computer desktop!
Wallpaper - Come Rain or Come Shine (1.25 MB)
2048 x 1536 (it fits both standard and widescreen resolutions)
Hope you enjoy it.
Peace and much love

“And I Heard” - Jill Scott (live)
You seem to have a mystery of me
I am here to broach it.
I am he who resides, in everything growing and glowing
I am not one to try and hide
I am here and I show it
Make no mistake, Satin is the father of lies
But I am father to him, and all of them, and you are light
Do you understand what you feel inside?
Let me light you let that guide you know I got your side
Do you understand what you feel inside?
And I heard continued. And it said
Wow, wow, wow, wow, look at your life. Bright!
Do you know how bright you are to me?
You’re a home made star in my sights
And I’m guiding you, constantly moving
There is a reason for your life
You’ll never understand it, it’s my plan
Just have faith in me, with all your might
Just have faith in me, and you are light!
Do you understand what you feel inside?
Let me light you let that guide you know I got your side
Do you understand what you feel inside?
And I heard continued. And it said
Before each breath, an out an in, before that I begin
Let your light guide let your light guide
No biases, no prejudice
I am the blood flowing against gravity, hear me
Before each second, before each blink
I am the millisecond before the millisecond it took you to think
I am the glory, I am the light
Understand that I brought you all hear tonight
Do you understand what you feel inside?
Let me light you let that guide you know I got your side
With absolutely no dedication to no one, welll, except maybe to me… Do you understand?
Peace and much love
