The day started at 10h30. It was colder than the day before. I Went out with Simon for breakfast at his favorite coffee shop - not very healthy, but yummy! Viet stayed in taking care of his stuff. After we got back to the apartment to meet Viet, we all got out again and each went a separate way. I went with Simon to the Tram station and then carried on my own through the city. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
I got a bagel and a ginger latte and sat a bit at a starbucks to warm up my ass… yep, I was literally freezing my ass off!!!!! Then I went along, back through yesterdays street fair, to find my self on a book shop and decided to get myself a treat: German Phrases for Dummies! hahahaha! Let’s see what comes up from this!
At 15h00 I got back to the apartment to meet Viet, eat something, and leave at 16h30 to Zürich.
When we got there I was not very impressed at first - it reminded me of Geneva (which I did not like that much). But after we parked the car and started walking I begun seeing a city that is amazing! Suddenly I saw a shop’s window showing the big LOVE logo in the photo above! Check below the small clip I did with it:
After walking for a while and going through some shops (oh… that Adidas shop… I had to hold myself not to buy the whole store!!!!) we went to meet Simon and went to a Thai restaurant were David Azama, another friend, joined us! Dinner was great and suddenly there was time to go to the concert hall…
But the concert I’ll leave to another post… But so you know, there was a lot of LOVE there. Jill Scott rocks!
Peace and LOVE

The day begun with the usual preparations for a trip: Checking if I had everything I needed on my bag, calling a cab and going to the Airport.
12h00 (local time) - My plane leaves Lisbon. I happen to go seated next to this lady from Oporto who talked the whole flight (2h30). I could have listened to music on my iPod or sleep, but it was a nice chat and the flight seemed to last only minutes.
I arrive in Basel at 15:30 (local time) and am greeted with this lovely and beautifully organized city! Viet picks me up from the airport and we drive to his apartment. What a great feeling it was seeing him again. As I said before, friend worth keeping.
It freezing, but it feels good… strange for me to state that!
We chat a bit at the apartment, catch up on the gossip of each others lives, and leave to take a walk on the city before his dance classes.
17h00 - Viet takes me to this adorable street Christmas fair in the center of Basel, beautifully decorated and the people were so nice there (actually everywhere here!!). I got to eat a delicious cheese pretzel and a German sausage (so to say) at the fair… hummm delicious! Viet tells me not to worry about putting on some wight while on vacation because I’ll spend a lot of calories just to keep myself warm… what a great excuse to eat all the delicious swiss chocolate!!!
18h00 - We stop at a delicious vegetarian restaurant/coffee shop near the academy where he’ll teach the classes and have a nice coup of tea! The place was amazing and, again, the people were very very nice!
19h00 - It’s dance time! wohooo! The last time I did a hiphop dance class was with Viet, in Lisbon, back in August… so you can imagine my physical condition now! There would be 3 classes. I did 1 and a half and had to stop. I was/am so tired!!! The choreographies were divine, as it was expected, and I had a great time! After a while, during the 3rd class, I went out to the Starbucks at the corner to get a Caramel Machiatto (I really hope the getting warm really burns calories!!!!!!!!).
22h30 - We head home to be greeted by sweet Simon, that was cooking us dinner. So good to see him again!
After dinner we sit around watching silly videos on youtube and talking about life, untill the Queer as Folk episode starts on TV. They went quiet with excitement. I was… lost in translation! The whole series was translated to German… SCHEISE!!!
They went to sleep and I came to write!
I’m happy, delighted with my holidays so far. Tomorrow Simon promised me a breakfast at his favorite coffee shop here in Basel and a tour of the city. Later tomorrow we’ll go to Zurich, have dinner with David and go see the Jill Scott concert… I’M SO EXCITED!
Peace and much much warm and fuzzy love

I’m so excited!! Today I got the package from Amazon with the latest Jill Scott CD - “The Real Thing” delux limited edition - and her poetry book - “The Moments, The Minutes, The Hours - The Poetry of Jill Scott”.
The poetry book is beautiful, and the first poems I read were absolutely delightful. The CD came with a DVD full of extras - music videos and an interview with the lady! I loved seeing the interview, hear her talk about her music and her poetry. She truly inspires me!
Today was a tough day. This “gift” of Jill was a real treat to the soul…
Thank you.
See you in 8 days girl!

People have been on and on forever about what signs you get when you fall in love. Some talk about bells, others about a rush, there’s also talk about lifting, flying, a click… Are any of these mandatory? What if I feel ticklish? Does it mean the person gave me a rash instead of me falling in love?
I wonder if there are categories like: if I heard bells and he heard bells then it’s meant to be, because if I heard bells and he felt a click then it’s not love but only a fling. Should bells only fall in love with bells and rush only fall in love with rush such as cat people should only marry cat people?
What about the combinations? You can feel a click combined with a lifting sensation. Maybe the bigger the combination, the bigger the chances you get in the game of love!
These questions started coming to my mind… again… after another failed date that had every sign of becoming more than just a date. I kept waiting for the lid on my jar of jam to pop into a click sound, but nothing happened. For a moment I felt a growing hard on, but that’s hardly a sign of love at such a stage.
What are we supposed to feel? And in the absence of other feelings, does a hard on count when you’re looking for love?

I can pay my own light bill baby
Pump my own gas in my own car
I can buy my own shoe collection
I’ve been blessed thus far
I can kill the spider above my bed
Although it’s hard because I’m scared
I can even stain and polyurethane
But some things just don’t change
I need you yeah
Sometimes so hard to say oh
I need you
Some things remain
This woman is amazing…
12 days left to be face to face with the lady!
Peace and love

When we’re small children we believe in so many things but soon we discover that not all that glitters is gold. Like instead of sucking on our mother’s nipple, we often suck on a fake one attached to a bottle full of formula - fake breast milk. When I was little, I remember my mother having this smooth fur coat. Nowadays you have fake fur that does the same job and keeps animal rights defenders quiet… and with their clothes on! Some of us, as children, may have come upon our mother’s facial massagers – how traumatic is that?! – and later learned they’re nothing less of fake dicks… and come to use dildos ourselves!
Life is full of fakes: fake sugar, fake chocolate, fake flowers, fake cookies, fake diamonds, fake pets, fake nails, fake eyelashes, fake breasts, fake hair/eye/skin color, fake legs/feet/arms/hands, some people have received a pig’s heart, there’s fake meat, there’s even my favourite with the best name: I can’t believe it’s not butter, butter!
I ask: in a world full of fakes, how can we tell true love?
Maybe all these fakes reflected our phony nature, maybe love isn’t supposed to be true! It comes in so many ways, with so many packages and wrappings, it’s so sudden and subtle at the same time, so undetectable and pushy, so remarkable and disappointing, so yin and yang… how can you tell? Do you have a definition for it? One accepted by all and said to be complete by the whole world?
If in the case of chocolate, breasts, dicks, flowers, diamonds, fur, etc, we can still tell true from false, have we been faking love for so long desperately wanting it to be true that we’ve forgotten how it really is?
