Nia Vardalos and Tony Collette, in “Connie and Carla”.
For the record, I’m posting this cover because I love the musical arrangement and the power of their voices. Sory Liza, my dear… maybe next time!
Peace

There are times when life calls out for a change. A transition. Like the seasons. Our spring was wonderful, but summer is over now and we missed out on autumn. And now all of a sudden, it’s cold, so cold that everything is freezing over. Our love fell asleep, and the snow took it by surprise.
What a delicious evening I’m having!
Right after a very special coffee with a very special someone I’m just getting to know, I went to rent a film for the rest of the evening! Finally I got my hands on one copy of “Paris, Je T’aime“! uff… Beautiful…
Through the neighborhoods of Paris, love is veiled, revealed, imitated, sucked dry, reinvented and awakened.
A long time ago, in the underground realm, where there are no lies or pain, there lived a Princess who dreamed of the human world. She dreamed of blue skies, soft breeze, and sunshine. One day, eluding her keepers, the Princess escaped. Once outside, the brightness blinded her and erased every trace of the past from her memory. She forgot who she was and where she came from. Her body suffered cold, sickness, and pain. Eventually, she died. However, her father, the King, always knew that the Princess’ soul would return, perhaps in another body, in another place, at another time. And he would wait for her, until he drew his last breath, until the world stopped turning…
My tonight’s date was breathtaking: “El Laberinto del Fauno”. I was taken on a fantasy trip through the imaginary of a child that could exist in all of us.
The film is so brilliant that it received 22 minutes of applause at the Cannes Film Festival and 3 Oscars: Best Achievement in Art Direction, Best Achievement in Cinematography and Best Achievement in Makeup.
Good thing I decided to stay home tonight!!
Peace

Hey, this may come a little late, but this whole week you can see the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival - Queer Lisboa - in the S. Jorge Cinema here in Lisbon!
I just rented on DVD the latest James Bond - Casino Royale - wich is a lame movie, but is starring a really hot guy!!
I’ve been drooling for Daniel Craig ever since he was caught stripped on film in the first Tomb Raider.
The funny thing is that he looks like an older (and blue-eyed) version of my ex in this photo!!!!!!! Hummm… de-li-ci-ous!
Peace and love
