Man, I’m getting older!

Last tuesday, the 29th, was my 26th Birthday Party! Had an amazing get-together at my place with close friends. It was a fantastic party!

Leo from SoulFlow DJ’s, was the cherry on top of the cake, so to say, as she spinned the coolest summer house, funk, sould and hip-hop grooves!

The theme of the party was “Will You Be My Sugar Daddy/Momma”. You know why? Well, because it was a kind-of fund-raising dinner party, to help out with the big trip I’ll be doing in the states soon! The result: Amongst a lot of cash, I got a pass to the MOMA in San Francisco and a concert ticket to see Donna Summer live at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles! I’m thrilled!

My friends are the best. Thank you so much for giving me a perfect birthday!

An Event Apart San Francisco - I’m Attending!

This is something worth posting about! I’m super excited because I just completed my subscription process to An Event Apart San Francisco (and payed for it). This means there is no turning back now… I’m on my way to California in August! OH YEAH!

This event was the starting point to make an effort to organize this trip. I’ll be attending it (2 days with amazing conferences by outstanding speakers), staying a couple more days in San Francisco to get to know the city, and the I’m renting a car for a roadtrip, by myself, down the sunny California! The trip will end in San Diego, where I went in 2002 for an internship in the amazing Culture Shock Dance Company. It will be great to see some friends again after these years! To top this, after that, I’m staying a week with my dear Ser.Calvin shopping and being fabulous in NYC! How much better can this get???

So, my question to you guys is: Have you ever traveled to California? What are your tips and advices?

Oh, I’m secretly hoping to meet a California surfer boy and fall in love!!!!!! hehehehe!

Insaningly Insomnia

For those who do not know, I’m going through rehab… yeah, I’m doing a program to stop smoking! I’m using a drug called Champix and I’m on the 10th day of treatment. I’ve stopped smoking since monday and I’m not gonna lie to you, It’s hard! Not that I feel the need for a cigarette - which I don’t - but I just feel uneasy and, the worst, I’m having terrible and insaningly insomnia! Those are both side effects of the drug and the quitting… I’ll just have to put up with this if I want a better lifestyle.

Interestingly, my creativity is very sharp… and I tried to express my frustration with the photo montage above.

I just hope the insomnia stops soon or I’ll go mad! :S

It’s that time of the year once again… Singles of the world unite, ’cause the 2008 edition of the “Single&Fabulous” day is here!!

If you lack someone special, or even if that someone special is not near you, why not share all that love you have inside with the ones you love the most: Your family and friends!

Out of this thought came this “holiday”, a more broad alternative to the Valentines day.

Mr.WannaB - In me forever!

Yesterday was the day for a new tattoo!

After my dragon (in 2000) and my tiger (in 2006), now is time for “Mr.WannaB” to be written on my body.
Next month I’ll make the next one (I love simetry… the other arm is getting one too!!!)

The art was done by Cris Barcelos (the owner and tattoo artist of Lisboa Ink studio). He was the one who did my tiger last year. An amazing artist!

Oh… and last monday I got pierced (by David from Lisboa Ink) a brand new set of 5mm bars on my ears (you can see it on the previous post’s photo!).

(Forced) Vacation

It’s been almost two weeks that I’ve been away from work, not because I want to, but because of my wrist. It is still hurting, even when I do the simplest movements. I really have to go to the doctor… bahh… hate it!

Anyway, this week I actually had fun! Went to the beach (Meco - of course) with my brotha’ Zé, to meet with JP and his friends for some fun and relaxing!!!

I’m thrilled about the new tattoo i’m gonna have done next saturday… I’ll post pictures when I have it!!
