I’m excited to finally be able to post this here on the blog!

One of my closest and dearest friends, David Ferreira, has finally released his first album – This Can’t Be Love – containing a refreshing and heart warming selection of jazz standards.

Tonight was the debut concert at “Fábrica do Braço de Prata”, here in Lisbon, and it was a success! The setting was great, the musicians were amazing, my dear David brilliant on stage and to top all that the house was packed with a vibrant crowd!

I have a bunch of clips I shot and I’ll be posting them to my YouTube account in the next couple of days.

This one is a teaser – edited to my liking – of the single “Comes Love” (on high rotation in Rádio Marginal – a Portuguese Jazz Radio Station). This was, from the first time I heard it, the number 1 single for the album and, even though David and his editor has plans to choose another theme for the 1st single, the reaction to “Comes Love” was so intense it had to be it!!

Word can’t seem to be enough to express my feeling towards this accomplishment in David’s life. I’m proud of the person and friend that he is.

Man, I’m getting older!

Last tuesday, the 29th, was my 26th Birthday Party! Had an amazing get-together at my place with close friends. It was a fantastic party!

Leo from SoulFlow DJ’s, was the cherry on top of the cake, so to say, as she spinned the coolest summer house, funk, sould and hip-hop grooves!

The theme of the party was “Will You Be My Sugar Daddy/Momma”. You know why? Well, because it was a kind-of fund-raising dinner party, to help out with the big trip I’ll be doing in the states soon! The result: Amongst a lot of cash, I got a pass to the MOMA in San Francisco and a concert ticket to see Donna Summer live at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles! I’m thrilled!

My friends are the best. Thank you so much for giving me a perfect birthday!

É a primeira vez que me aventuro a ir a uma marcha do orgulho em Lisboa. Já o fiz em Madrid, como tantos outros portugueses, mas aqui nunca. Porque raio não?

Pois digo-vos que foi uma experiência a repetir – bom ambiente, gente divertida, sol e calor, exercício (sim que aquela caminhada deu-me cabo das pernas)! Não só marchámos pelos nossos direitos, como também ganhámos uma corzita e ainda perdemos uns kilos!!!!

A quem faltou, pelas mil e uma desculpas esfarrapadas, I say: Your loss!

Today is a special day because we celebrate the 29th aniversary of my dear Ser.Calvin. Even though this post is entirely about him, most of you will not understand why I chose this video, but Ser.Calvin will get it!

What a huge anouncement I have to give you guys! :D

After 31 months, over 2 years and a half, of The Wonderful Life of Mr.WannaB was born, I have the tremendous honor of inviting someone else to contribute to this blog!
Who else than my dear friend Ser.Calvin – One of the best and closest friends I have in this life, a great writer, singer and… well, I’ll leave something for the imagination!!!! :P

So, from now on, every wednesday he’ll be writing a column called “O Sexo e a Praça”. He started that last week as a comment, that was just converted into post.

My dear readers, I’m so sorry for the lack of post on the blog lately… But here we go!

This was an amazing weekend!
It all started friday, with beach (meco, of course) and a very fun dinner: Bear Luau Dinner. It was a dinner organized by the Brutus Bear Bar and our side of the table was the funniest!!!! :D
Sunday was spent at the beach again, but by the end of the day my throat was very sore and the night was spent in a very chilly mood… result: since yesterday I’m stranded at home with high fever and throat inflammation. :(

I was in no mood to set up this weeks “hot or not”, but I’m gonna get right to it soon!!
